Today we began our optical illusion projects. Each grade is trying a different kind of project. The children are waiting to see the full illusion when their project is completed.

1st Grade - We received a paper with vertical lines on it. Then we traced different sized circles on the paper over some of the lines. After we used markers to begin coloring the shapes and the space between the lines. We will see the illusion when we finish next time.

2nd Grade - We received a paper with grid lines on it. We drew different sized circles on the grid. Then we began coloring the grid. We can't wait to see our illusions!

4th Grade - We used construction paper, rulers, pencils, and glue to begin our optical illusions. Next time we will cut out our papers to make our illusions.

6th Grade - We drew a rolling line, and then added curved lines. These illusions are looking great. Next time, we will use colored pencils to add value to our illusions.

3rd Grade - We began working on a simple optical illusion. We traced our hand, and then we used warm and cool colors to make our designs.

5th Grade - We began working on an optical illusion. We used lines and circles to make a design. We also discussed the principle of balance. We began adding color to our designs, and we will finish them next time.
